Freshwater Programme Coordinator (1) - Lusaka:

The post holder will be working under the supervision of the Freshwater Programme Manager. This is a 2-year position whose main responsibility is to support the Freshwater Programme Manager and WWF-Zambia to expand its freshwater programme in Zambia The incumbent will also play a critical role in keeping a close contact with WWF field offices and partners by supervising implementation of sub-granted activities.

Required Qualifications: Master’s level Degree in the field of Nature Conservation/Water Resources Management/Biology. At least 3 years of experience working in freshwater conservation – including substantial field work; and at least 5 years of experience in project management with the ability to work independently and/or with minimal supervision.

Wildlife Programme Coordinator  (1) - Lusaka:

The post holder will be working under the supervision of the Wildlife Programme Manager. This is a 2-year position whose main responsibility is to support the Wildlife Programme Manager and WWF-Zambia to transition its wildlife projects into an integrated, nation-wide programme. The successful person will also play a critical role in keeping a close contact with WWF field offices and partners in coordinating the  implementation of sub-granted activities.

Required Qualifications: Master’s level Degree in the field of Nature Conservation such as (Wildlife Management/ Conservation Biology, Wildlife Ecology or Natural Resource Management. At least 5 years of experience working in Wildlife conservation – including substantial field work; and at least 3 years of experience in project management with the ability to work independently and/or with minimal supervision.

ZYCALA Project Officer  (1) - Serenje

The post holder will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Zambia Youth for Conservation, Agriculture and Livelihoods Action (ZYCALA) Project in Mkushi, Serenje and Chitambo Districts.

Required Qualifications: Diploma or Certificate in Forestry/ General Agriculture or Sustainable Agriculture/Natural Resources Management/ Environmental management with at least 2 years practical experience in a similar position.

INTRODUCTION

WWF Zambia has been engaged by the Civil Society Environment Fund (CSEF2) to host of the Civil Society Environment Hub.   CSEF2 commenced work in March 2015, and is managed  on behalf of  the Ministry for  Foreign  Affairs of Finland (MFA) by PMTC  (Zambia) Limited, in consortium with Ecorys UK.  
As host, WWF is required to initially establish the hub on a one year (12 month) pilot basis, and pending the results of an external evaluation of the pilot year, the Hub may move on to full implementation phase.
The host  will  establish  the  Hub,  manage  the implementation  of  its  activities  and  provide  institutional  oversight  and  governance. 
 
CIVIL SOCIETY ENVIRONMENT FUND  PHASE 2

The  overall  objective  of  CSEF2  is  “to  enhance  the  role  of  civil  society  organisations  (CSOs) to implement sound environmental  management projects and  promote sustainable and equitable development in Zambia.”  This  overall  objective  is  underpinned  by  the  project  purpose,  which  is  “to  initiate  and implement  funding  mechanisms,  enhance  capacity  development,  advocacy  and  dialogue processes to enable CSOs to work for environmentally sustainable development.” 

Prospective consultants are called to design a Sustainability Plan & an Advocacy and Communications Plan
