The Government of Zambia, the Ministry of Tourism through the Department of National Parks and Wildlife, the Barotse Royal Establishment, Peace Parks Foundation and WWF, have come together to support the sustainable management of the Sioma Ngwezi Complex in Western Zambia and signed a Co-Management Agreement. As a result, a new organisation, the Sioma Ngwezi Co-Management Foundation, will be established and entrusted with managing the vast 2.6-million-hectare landscape. It will operate with a corporate ethos, adopting a business-like approach.
