WWF-Zambia has called for stronger mining regulations following pollution incidents involving Sino Metals and Rongxing Investments, which contaminated key water bodies. The organization urges the government to enforce the "Polluter Pays Principle," ensuring responsible parties bear cleanup costs and compensate affected farmers.

WWF-Zambia also advocates for stricter environmental oversight, regular audits of mining operations, and better funding for regulatory bodies like WARMA, ZEMA, and the Mines Safety Department. Additionally, WWF commits to supporting impact assessments, policy enhancements, and community-led water monitoring initiatives to prevent future environmental damage.
