Maxward Katubulushi
Fundraising Manager
He specialises in the development and implementation of practises and approaches in resource mobilisation (fundraising), grant, consultancies and research management that tackle the challenge of lack of resources to invest in pro-poor development.
Max has spent much of his career as a Grant Manager at the University of Zambia, where he resourced and managed a portfolio of international technical assistance and cooperative agreements projects. He worked to support resource mobilisation through coordination proposal development and providing input, advice, support and guidance on policy and strategy development in addition to capacity building teams on fundraising, reporting, donor engagement and compliance.
In the last two years with Oxfam, in roles as Business Development /Funding Manager and member of the Country Leadership Team (CLT), Max, in his efforts to driving growth in revenue for the country programme, has focused on maximizing and diversifying the funding base and supporting fundraising efforts of country programme teams using different approaches including but not limited to diversifying to bilateral, multilateral, small and major foundations as sources of programme funding; scanning and identifying funding opportunities; intelligence gathering and donor engagement; and tendering.
Max holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management and is a Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) amongst other honors received both overseas and in-country.
